Your First Visit to Our Cedar Rapids Practice

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

New patients often remark how “homey” our office is. That’s good, because our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable surrounding.

Make Yourself at Home

When you first arrive you will be greeted by Michelle, our very personable and efficient receptionist who will help you with all the necessary forms.

Then Marilyn will escort you to the consultation room to meet Dr. Kristiansen.

We Explain Everything First

Dr. Kristiansen will review your case history and discuss your condition with you. Then he will conduct a thorough examination and x-rays to determine if you are a chiropractic candidate.

The one thing we know for sure is that if your condition is not a case for chiropractic care than chiropractic care will not be able to help you. But, if yours is a chiropractic case then nothing else will help you achieve relief than chiropractic care will.

We offer this consultation first as only a chiropractor can tell if chiropractic care can help you. If we do not feel chiropractic is the right treatment for you, we will offer recommendations on who you really need to be seeing.

Once your case is accepted and after Dr. Kristiansen studies the health history forms, the examination findings and your x-rays he will determine a plan of action for your care.

At this time if you are in severe pain we will either do a first aid treatment or if pain drugs are needed we will get you to the emergency clinic close by the office.

If no first aid is necessary then Marilyn will escort you back to Michelle who will schedule you for your Report of Findings Visit. We would like you to bring your spouse or significant other to the report visit. It is important that the people who are most close to you understand what your condition is how they can help you.

Dr. Bradley Asks some important questions of interest to Cedar Rapids residents - Chiropractor Cedar Rapids Dr. Bradley Asks...

Why is a "slipped disc" unlikely?
Separating each spinal vertebra is a disc. Its fibrous outer ring holds in a jelly-like material. Because of the way a disc attaches to the spinal bones above and below it, it can't actually "slip." However, a disc can bulge, tear, herniate, thin and collapse. But it can't slip.
What's the purpose of a surgeon's mask?
When I ask most people in Cedar Rapids this, most think it protects the patient from the doctor's germs. But it's so porous it does little to prevent the passage of germs. We chiropractors don't bother with masks.
